The new Tech Pilot draw invites 80 applicants to the BC PNP draw

The candidates invited were from Express Entry BC and Skills Immigration.

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program invited 80 immigrants under the Express Entry BC and Skills Immigration categories on April 6, 2021. 

 A provincial score of 80 is required for the Skilled Workers and International Graduates sub-categories.

Express Entry is the top and earnest immigration application system. Express Entry candidates who receive a provincial nomination obtain 600 additional points towards their CRS score. 

The Express Entry draws are held twice a month that invites approximately 5000 immigration candidates.

A total of 49, 124 Express Entry candidates are invited so far in 2021, which is half of its target for admission in the year.

BC PNP Tech Pilot draw-

It is a fast-track immigration pathway for in-demand skilled workers. It was introduced in 2017 with the aim of invited tech workers.

Candidates from Skills Immigration and Express entry are to create a profile and register under the SIRS- Skills Immigration Registration System.

Also, for candidates to eligible, they need to have a valid job offer of 12 months in one of the 29 eligible occupations and register in one of British Columbia`s provincial streams.

Candidates are given scores on different factors, in which they are invited to apply in the invitation round. The score is based on number of factors the age of the candidate qualification, language proficiency, and work experience, etc.

British Columbia invited 3000 candidates till now in 2021.
