The Express Entry draw invites 5000 CEC candidates with a CRS score of 432
The CRS score is 17 points less than the previous CEC draw.
The federal government, on April 1, and, no it’s not an April fool’s joke, invited 5000 Express Entry candidates, who are eligible for the Canadian Experience Class with a low CRS score of 432.
Those who have submitted the Express Entry profile before 21 at 09:51:22 UTC can apply. It is to avoid the tie-break rule by the IRCC- Immigration, Refugee, and Citizenship Canada.
Today’s draw is the third-lowest CRS score after the two other draws on February 13, 2021, and June 25, 2020, over the past years.
IRCC is favoring domestic residents for permanent residency due to the non-essential border travel and being closed since March 2020. It is relieved to say that 90% of CEC candidates reside in Canada.
With a promise to encourage in bringing 401, 000 fresh immigrants, IRCC is targeting PNP- specific draws and CEC draws.
On February 13, 2021, IRCC invited every single CEC candidates, a total of 27 332 immigrants.
The total invitations issued in 2021 is 49 124, half of the target of Express Entry.
