North Bay Unveils the RNIP Program Criteria
North Bay, Ontario, becomes the 11th community to launch Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot
On 21st October, another RNIP- Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot went live in Northern Ontario.
Twelve communities are participating in the pilot, out of which Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan is the only community that has not launched the RNIP system.
North Bay is a city of sceneries, strong economic growth, a well-apt tourism sector, a strong and well-maintained education system, and medical facilities. The city has a population of more than 50,000 and is a three-hour drive from the north of Toronto.
Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP) is an initiative under the IRCC- Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada to attract immigrants who will contribute to the city`s growth and be a part of it.
There are the eligibility criteria for the candidates and requirements that apply to all people immigrating to the city. The following criteria are as follows-
- A high school diploma
- Acknowledges the language English or French
- Have one year of work experience out of the three years, except for international students
- Proof of funds to fulfil the needs of self and family members
- A job offer in the participating community
The job offer must match the candidate’s work experience or be of one-level or below the NOC- National occupational Classification.
If the candidates have a strong significance in one language- English, and French, then it can enhance their application. Family or close relatives residing in the community can increase the chance or if the person has already lived/currently living, it adds to the points.
If the candidate has studied at North Bay, it will be in their favour. Having an occupation that is in-demand at North Bay will further add points in favour of the candidate.
In any case, if the person receives a community recommendation from the North Bay, then they can apply for Canada Permanent Residency.
