Express Entry invites 5000 CEC candidates

Canada continues to welcome 108 500 newcomers through the Express Entry programs.

On March 18, 2021, the IRCC invites 5000 Canadian Experience Class candidates from the Express Entry.

The candidates need to be eligible for the CEC and have a score of at least 449 to receive the Invitation to Apply. CEC candidates need to have one year of work experience or language skills along with other criteria.

Those candidates were invited only if they had submitted the Express Entry profile before February 19, 2021, UTC, as per the tie-break-rule.

The previous Express Entry draw was on March 17, 2021, targeting Provincial Nominee Program candidates, which is another strong group in Canada for immigration.

After the February 13, 2021 draw of IRCC inviting CEC candidates a total of 27,332, today`s draw is the successive draw after that.

After an eventful rock-smashing draw, IRCC has invited a total of 43,840 ITAs in 2021, more than the last year.

To cope with the low local labor market, Canada aims to welcome immigrants every year but, with the unprecedented COVID-19, travel restrictions have strictly adhered with international flights were banned to safeguard the border from the pandemic.

To meet the requirements, Canada released a New Immigration Plan Levels of 2021-2023 inviting 401, 000 fresh immigrants by the end of the year.

Out of those, 108 500 are to come through the Express Entry streams.

Express Entry welcomes immigrants via the Skilled Worker Program, the Skilled Trades Program, and the Canadian Experience Class.

Candidates have to be eligible in one of the above streams. They will receive CRS scores on different factors such as age, education qualification, etc. The highest-scoring candidates will be invited to apply for PR in the future Express draw.

Who is invited?

Kim is a 32-year-old. She completed her bachelors in Canada. She is working as a sales manager there and is married to Philip, who lives outside Canada. Philip holds a bachelor’s degree and is excellent in the language English. Kim gave her IELTS exam and got 8 in listening and reading and 7.5 in speaking and writing. Kim being the main applicant enters the pool with a CRS score of 453, high enough to obtain ITA in today`s draw.
