Canada invites 183 PNP candidates in the new Express Entry draw

Express Entry is on step closer to become Canadian permanent residents.

Once again, Canada invited 183 Express Entry candidates for permanent residents on March 17. 

The IRCC invited candidates with a minimum CRS- Comprehensive Ranking System of at least 682. It is because the CRS score is high.  After all, candidates received a nomination in the previous Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).

Express Entry with a provincial nomination receives 600 points increasing their initial CRS score. E.g. the original score of candidates is 82 and, after the 600 points, it will be 682, making you eligible for the nomination.

It applies to candidates with Express Entry who has submitted the profile on March 4, 2021, at 16:56:20 UTC.

It is the second draw of PNP in a row. The previous nomination was held on March 8, inviting 671 PNP candidates.

With two provincial draws in March, this proves that Canada is willing to commit to its terms in inviting eligible skilled workers to meet the labor market requirements of the province.

Canada has issued 38,840 Invitations to Apply (ITA) in 2021 so far. By this time last year, the digits were less than that IRCC issued.

February 13, 2021, saw a massive Express Entry draw inviting 27 332 ITAs with a historic draw CRS score of 75. Every candidate who was eligible for the Canadian Experience Class were invited to apply for permanent residents.

Express Entry System

Express Entry remains to be the top choice for Canada immigration under three streams– Skilled Worker Program, Skilled Trades Program, and Canadian Experience Class.

Candidates receive scores on human capital factors such as age, employment, language proficiency in English or French, etc.

The highest-scoring candidates will receive ITA for permanent residency through the subsequent Express Entry draw.

A hypothetical example of who can be invited in today`s draw-

Phoebe is a 32-year woken with a master’s degree and working as a Software Engineer for five years. With her IELTS score of CLB 8 in all four bands, she enters the Express Entry pool with an initial score of 462. She receives nominations from Ontario and, 600 points increasing her CRS score to 1062, making her capable of today`s Express Entry draw.
