Alberta invites 300 Express Entry candidates with CRS 301

The total invitations issued by Alberta for Express Entry candidates is 1,009 so far in 2021. 

On March 26, the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) invites 300 Express Entry candidates for the stream. Applicants are required to score at least CRS- Comprehensive Ranking System 301.

Applicants need to create a profile in the Express Entry if they apply for the Alberta PNP stream.

The PNP aligned with Express Entry is for those who have ties in Alberta and wish to settle for better in the province and support the economic development and diversification priorities.

At the moment, due to restriction policies, Canada is targeting immigrants who reside in the country.

Applicants are required to have work experience in an eligible occupation.

The federal government, on November 1, 2020, increased the number of occupations that are not eligible to apply for the LMIA- Labor market Impact Assessment. Applicants who have received their invitation on or after the date can still be selected through the Alberta Express Entry System even if the government is not processing for LMIA. 

In 2020, Alberta was to issue 6250 nominations for permanent residency but, it could only nominate 4000 nominations till June 2020.

Express Entry is Canada`s main application management system for immigration. Applicants need to be eligible in one of the three streams- Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program, and the Canadian Experience Class.

You will receive scores on CRS based on factors such as age education qualification, education qualification, etc. The highest scoring candidates with a profile in the Express Entry and provincial nomination will get 600 points to the initial CRS score, increasing it for the invitation in the next Express Entry draw.

AINP has not confirmed the number of nomination it will issue for permanent residence in 2021
